Chris Gordon

After spending years in New York and London in various positions within the commercial gallery world, I struck out on my own to begin organizing exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Russia, and beyond. As a direct result of this work I was offered the Editor-in-chief position at Hermitage Magazine. Moving what was a narrowly focused, slightly parochial museum magazine into the wider world to engage with international ideas and audiences increased the publication's circulation and relevance.

Throughout my career I have indulged my dual passions of contemporary art and travel and have been fortunate enough to have had an outlet for my observations in the form of a consulting editorship with The St. Petersburg Times. In February 2012, I was made Editor-in-chief of the newspaper.

As a result of my extensive experience in a wide variety of fields I began consulting with various companies, both in Russia and abroad, on how best to attract media attention. Providing the texts which these companies could use to address promotion and public relations issues led naturally to numerous copywriting commissions which I continue to explore to this day.
