A new study on literacy in the United States has found Seattle to be one of the top five most literate cities in the country. Starting Thursday, late career paintings and sculptures by Joan Miró will be on display at the Seattle Art Museum. Cody Spafford, sous chef of Ballard restaurant The Walrus and the Carpenter, was killed last week by police after attempting to rob a Wells Fargo bank in Madison Park. The restaurant reopened last night, with proceeds going to The Recovery Cafe to honor Spafford and his struggle with addiction.

When ART Restaurant set out to create its own beer, there were a lot of things to take into account. "We wanted it to be a beer that everyone liked, which meant it couldn't be super light, or very dark," said restaurant Chef Jelle Vandenbroucke.

Volunteer Park's March Sunday Supper falls on the night before St. Patrick's Day, so they're preparing the perfect Irish meal to celebrate. The Seattle Times reports that Pacific Place Mall in downtown Seattle was sold yesterday for $271 million. The property has been for sale since January 2014. The article states that the 350,000-square-foot mall was purchased by real-estate management firm Madison Marquette and unnamed offshore investors.
