Oh hey there, human.

In writing I go by Britni Sharde. I am a freelance writer, poet, reader, thinker, and lover of words in their many forms.

I’m driven by a deep commitment to storytelling that resonates, challenges, and connects. My work thrives at the intersection of narrative and impact. This is where words are not just written, but felt. I’ve contributed published work with NCRC and crafted poetry in collaboration with J Parlé, experiences that have sharpened both my voice and perspective.

Poems tend to come to me at the most inopportune times, but I don’t mind. (I can’t skip over the fact that that rhymed.) My writing has many faces, but at its core, it is sustained by something deeperI write for my soul’s sake.

I’m drawn to the height and depth of making things clear, to the detail and significance of seeing the same thing anew. At the heart of it all is a passion for empowering communities: amplifying stories that deserve to be seen, heard, and remembered.
