I am the Founder-CEO of Atleta Filipina, a startup platform for Filipino women in sports. We cover women’s sports stories and stage events with a goal of getting women and girls into sports.

I have developed my expertise in the field being a former athlete before pursuing a career in sports media. I am a freelance sports journalist, researcher, speaker, media trainer and anchor reporter based in the Philippines. I have covered Philippine sports governance, women in sports and social issues in sport.

I did a research on 'Investing in Women's Sports Content' for the the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Women In News and Sport (WINS) program. My work has been featured in Splice Media, Les Glorieuses and Channel News Asia. I contribute to Nobel Peace Prize newsroom Rappler, ABC Australia, South China Morning Post, Al Jazeera, Mekong Review, Puma Podcast and Waterbear Productions.

I am an grant awardee of the International Center For Journalists (ICFJ) Newscorp Fellowship where I pursued a nation-wide data story about girls’ participation in sports and how women’s sports can help build the country.
