May 11 in the lobby of Naraghi Hall of Science between 3p.m to 5p.m. This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their work and get the public interested in such work students have been engaging in during the academic year.

Internship opportunities at Delicato Family Vineyards - The Signal

On April 24, Delicato Family Vineyards presented at California State University, Stanislaus in the Chemistry Research Session. Delicato Family Vineyards is a third generation family wine business that first planted their grapes in 1924. They are the ninth largest winery in the United States and produce many different types of wines.

Spartina Attacks, Bio Student Association Meeting - The Signal

The Biology Student Association held a meeting on March 17 in the Science building at California State University, Stanislaus. Dr. Michael Fleming was a guest speaker this week from the CSU Stanislaus department of Biological Sciences. He gave a presentation on his research he conducted from 2002 to 2005 on plants, specifically "Spartina."

Science Saturday: Sea Urchin Fertilization Lab - The Signal

Science Saturday was held March 21 by Dr. Mark Grobner and students in the Naraghi Hall of Science at California State University, Stanislaus. Science Saturday introduced sea urchins to kids in fifth and sixth grade. The students were able to learn how to fertilize a sea urchin.

This was an informational meeting and student interactive activity about abstracts. As the biology students get ready for some research, it is important they understand the aspect of abstracts.

The California State University, Stanislaus Green Team held a meeting Feb. 19 in the Kirk Lindsey Center. It was led by Rikki Schmeeckle of the Green Team and speaker Anthony Preston. The Stanislaus Green Team program is a free service offered via the Modesto Chamber of Commerce.

Welcome back and Research - The Signal

Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program (LSAMP) held their first meeting of the semester in the South Dining Hall Feb. 12. The meeting was led by Dr. Melanie Martin, Associate Professor for the department of Computer Science, and was a great way to welcome back Science and Math scholars as well as get reacquainted with peers and professors.

California State University, Stanislaus held their fourth annual Science Day on Feb. 7 at the Naraghi Hall of Science. The event is a fun way for kids to not only participate in activities but to educate themselves on different forms of science and math.
