I am passionate about public relations, advocacy, representation, and community engagement. I am fortunate to have served as the Black Student Union President and represent the black community at Washington State University. I am proud and grateful to have been responsible for my community, and for rebuilding the Union and its leadership. During my term, the organization’s engagement reached over 80% of previous years with consistent attendance rates increased at general meetings and events. With a focus on growth, programming, professional development, and sustainability, all 8 of our organizations are reconciled and thriving.
I am passionate about fostering community, building bridges, and intercultural collaborations. My goal is to create a safe and caring environment and leave a legacy for future representation. Along with my experience in community leadership, I have experience in student body government as a chair for the ASWSU Senate.
I have experience with Public Relations being an intern in the Crimson Creative student-run PR firm in the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. I have worked closely with clients such as the Terry Buffington Foundation and the Pullman City Council’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee. My role as the digital media coordinator at the WSU Women*s center allowed me to work with the Coalition for Women Students, advocating and supporting the student body. Along with executing outreach via social media campaigns to increase visibility and engagement.
