There are several beautiful and unique locations in Flint & Genesee available for booking your next corporate-team building workshop. Some are rather new;others have been around for many years. One of the newest locations is the Flint Institute of Art's Hot Shop.
That figure includes businesses in Flint & Genesee, which collectively exported more than $535 million in product, produce and services globally in 2017 (the most recent annual data), according to the Office of Trade and Economic Analysis at U.S. Dept. of Commerce. And, thanks to support from the Michigan Economic Development Corp.
In downtown Flint, two examples of this shift toward mixed-use developments currently underway are the YWCA building and the former Coolidge Elementary School. The YWCA building, 310 E. Third St., was recently demolished and construction will soon begin on the 97,910-square-foot, mixed-use development that will include retail, housing units and community-use spaces.
