Anne Cassidy blogs daily at A Walker in the Suburbs. A longtime freelance writer, her essays and articles have been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, Washington Independent Review of Books, Motherwell, Travel & Leisure, Woman’s Day, and many other publications. She is the author of Parents Who Think Too Much (Dell) and co-author of Single File (St. Martin’s).
For ten years, Cassidy was the editor of Georgetown Law magazine, and she spent five years writing for the nonprofit Winrock International, traveling the world to cover everything from human trafficking in Bangladesh to solar power in Indonesia. She has degrees from Northwestern University and Columbia University, and is currently a student in the Master of Liberal Arts program at Georgetown University.
