Writing and Editing
I’m a creative problem solver with a passion for helping teams work smarter and deliver experiences that matter. Over the past decade, I’ve progressed from modernizing accounting processes to leading large-scale events, reimagining workflows, and supporting organizational growth—all with a people-first approach.
Whether I’m coordinating an industry trade show with hundreds of attendees, implementing new systems to replace outdated tools, or supporting cross-functional teams through change, I love turning complexity into clarity and ideas into action.
Key strengths:
• Event coordination & logistics
• Process improvement & documentation
• Cross-functional collaboration
• Vendor and sponsor relationships
• Employee training and support
I believe work should be both effective and human—and I’m always looking for ways to make systems, teams, and experiences better.
Let’s connect—I’m happy to share ideas, swap stories, or talk about what makes a great event succeed.

Alayna Beck - Brigham Young University It didn't end the way it did in fairytales. With a kiss in a carriage, pulled to a secluded sunflower bungalow, the couple's loved ones cheering as their conquered enemies stood resentfully by. No, it ended the way legends began.
Graphics, Ads, and Marketing
This file is clearly not professionally related! I was very pleased with the outcome of my son's graduation announcement. I didn't like any of the templates I found online, so I created my own layout.
Clearly not business related! My boss asked me to update a sponsorship handout for his son's basketball team. The original was three pages, which is two pages too many. I took all the essential information and boiled it down to a one-page graphic. I believe the team is more likely to receive sponsorship sign-ups if viewers don't have to keep flipping pages to find what they're looking for.

One of the owners gave me his talking points for his presentation and I created the accompanying slideshow.

As a member of NACM (National Association of Credit Management), the company submitted monthly aging reports.
Each time the company made a sale in a new tax area, the tax rate had to be manually added. Each part of the multi-step process needed to be followed for the tax rate to work correctly.
Sometimes one of our branches will make an error when completing a cash refund for a customer. This guide walks the user through the process of completing the return and refunding the customer.
Daily our finance office must reconcile the POS system and the accounting software. There are many steps that need to be followed carefully. This guide was written with hopes that anyone in the company who had not done the report before could complete the task by following these instructions.
There are multiple settings that have to be done correctly for a tax-exempt customer's orders to be written up without tax. This detailed guide directs the user in each step.
The company began using a new credit card expense management program called TravelBank. This guide was made when we discovered that many users in the company were confused by some of the menus.

Whenever an employee would ask a question like this, I quickly made up a guide to share with them. If one employee came to me with a question, there were usually more than one of them with the same question.
In January 2020, my company upgraded from a DOS-based software program to cloud-based system on the server. There were a LOT of learning curves throughout the company. At the time I was the Accounts Receivable manager, and I created this guide to help our 10 branches learn how to balance and close their cash drawers in the new system. For over 20 years, it had all been done on paper and the branches mailed their physical reports to the corporate office for reconciling.
The company began buying pallets of water and then sold the water by the pallet or by the case to job sites. The process is simple, but there were many errors at the beginning. This short guide covers the essential information our team needed to know to buy water while keeping the AP office happy.
Like the other Costco Water document, just in slideshow format.
As the company grew, the need to refine and clarify policies also grew. I prepared this presentation on behalf of the HR office for their break-out session at a company-wide training meeting.
Forms, Reports, and Company Information
Company handbook of policies and procedures.
Like the Credit Reference Form, this intake form was created for individuals who were unable or unwilling to use the online credit application platform.
For the HR department when employees wanted to petition for a raise.
A simple and brief intake form for customers wishing to establish a cash account with the company.
Most of our credit references were completed using a 3rd party online platform, but occasionally we encountered a customer with limited internet access or a great mistrust of all things digital. In such cases the physical form was made available for their use.
