Alison Cordero

Writer / Editor / Social Media Assistant

United States

Born and raised in New York. I graduated from Barnard College with a B.A. in History, concentration in American History, and a Minor in Environmental Science.

After college I became a sales assistant and was soon offered the opportunity to write, and assist with editing articles and social media content for my employer's corporate blog.

My writing consists of adventures with the entertainment aspect of music, movies, travel, lifestyle and sports. In an attempt to summarize my interests and hobbies I've discovered that writing and midnight road trips are two of the most freeing experiences life can offer.

There is no denying that we are suckers for Hollywood myths. Tales of legendary underdogs, coming-of-age friendships, fearless crime fighters, and romance in enormous sinking ships have all lured our imaginations to wander worlds of nostalgia or worlds far beyond what many of us can discover on our own.

Of Baseball And An American Summer

As a child, my baseball activities were pretty much limited to TV broadcasts and the grass my father neatly mowed in the back of our Queens home. A bunch of us kids just gathered Frisbees as 1 st 2 nd 3 rd and home bases.

Count on Spring

Just this past weekend the oh so familiar jingle of Mr. Frosty cruised by my Queens neighborhood. Forget the delight in a cone and tasty rainbow sprinkles, the famous big white truck most significantly hauls in a fresh beginning.

Super Bowl & Football Side Notes

So as most of Americans knows, the Super Bowl is only a few weeks away. If you think I am about to drown you with statistics you should know that since college, I have tried to stay as far away from that subject as I possibly could.

Popular Chocolate Bars in the World

The chocolate bar is perhaps the most thought about snack during the day. Sure we each have cravings for different delightful foods, but for those of us with a sweet tooth, the chocolate bar does the trick. The handy, grab and go, sit and type, munch and observe, all around efficient treat is available everywhere.

America's Other Favorite Pastime, the Theme Park

If there is something I can never get tired of it's theme parks. The thrills of rides, mystical atmospheres and enormous amounts of imagination that go into many of these places is enough to keep people coming no matter how dangerous, costly or how far they are located. Here in the U.S.
