I am currently a junior at Siena Heights University majoring in Language Arts and minoring in Elementary Education.
Teaching and writing go hand in hand. Teachers are required to write a lot whether it be in class or letters being sent home to parents.
Teachers also need to know the in's and out's of writing, grammar, and spelling because if we expect our students to know these things, we as teachers should know too.
