Akholiwe Nywebeni

Freelance writer

South Africa

After graduating from the University of The Western Cape, I wrote for wakapost.com, a website that challenged my writing ability. I wrote about technology, politics, and sport after starting a football blog at varsity.
I also started a fashion blog after covering the Spree Style campaign that was published by 'The Plug' magazine in 2018.
In July 2019, I joined Africa's largest football Soccer Laduma and it was there where I honed in on many different writing skills. I wrote articles, covered various brand campaigns with Gillette, PUMA and Lion. I did long-form print interviews for the newspaper and sister football magazine, Kick Off and bulked up my writing experience after working there for one year and one month.
