It's a common question you ask or receive when you meet new ballers on and off the hardwood. The league you play for represents the skill level of the players, the integrity of the staff and the basketball experience you receive. There's only one league in the city of Toronto that offers only the best.

He's rare (Wooooo!), Ric Flair (Woooo!) and that's that stuff we do like! Since his introduction to the Wrestling world in the 1970s, Ric "Nature Boy" Flair has been demanding the attention of fans for his antics inside the ring, his cocky demeanour outside of the ring and his undeniably flashy sense of fashion.
It's almost inevitable when Jordan Brand releases a shoe as a part of a package or in super limited quantities, it will come out by itself at some point or vice versa. At first it was slightly annoying for some, because "these just came out, now everybody is going to have them", but it's just the way things are nowadays.
At 71 years old, Joe Namath has without a doubt "woke up like this" thousands of times and his timeless style is the focus for this week's #SwagChamp. The legendary NFL quarterback is so respected for his style, that many of his most infamous pictures aren't even on-field.
Things are certainly looking up for the Socceroos from down under as they prepare for their country's 3rd consecutive appearance in the World Cup this Summer. Aesthetically, their new Nike away uniform is clean and very distinct with an obsidian body topped off with a yellow johnny collar.
It's been a few years since the Nike Foamposite One officially reached the top of every hypebeasts "most wanted" list. But thanks to some great colorways like copper, red & electric yellow and some sweet exclusives (Paranorman & Oregon to start), Penny Hardaway's signature kicks have found life with a whole new generation.
Thanks to Jordan Brand's #FlightClub program, we have an initial look at some of the heat that we can expect to see on feet this fall. As usual, gearing up towards the holiday season, Jordan Brand is coming with heat to get everybody in a frenzy.
America's favourite past-time, baseball and your "favourite dope dealer's, favourite dope dealer" King Push have combined via Play Cloths to offer up a stylish Summer line for you to ride around in this season. Thanks in part to the on-going NBA Finals, World Cup and Stanley Cup Finals; it's not hard for one to forget about the early stages of another MLB regular season.
Remember the good ol' days when basketball jerseys had player names on them? I mean real names, not nicknames: Jordan, Bird, Johnson, Erving, O'Neal. Those days are long gone (sort of, not really) but this is definitely a sign of the times.
It's been quite a while since we've seen this much hype over a pair of Foams, well of course if you totally discount what happened 2 weeks ago at the Nike Foamposite One x Supreme near riot and eventual release.
Often times we have "throwback" items that are still relevant today, whether it's through the revolution/cycle of fashion or just a freak coincidence. However, I'm proud to have stumbled upon this true throwback, unless of course you're one of those people that still uses pencils?
Releasing online at Nike.com earlier this morning, the Shooting Stars Pack features 2 shoes, the Foamposite and Lil Penny Posite, that both reflect Nike' Basketball's past, present and future direction. The Foamposite continues to be the it shoe this year with strong releases like the Supreme collaboration (near riot), "Yeezy" colorway and this beautiful predominantly white model that is the shining star (pun intended) of this pack.
Officially dropping just a little over a month before Independence Day (aka 4th of July), Nike gets patriotic today June 1st with a clean looking pair of the SB Dunk Highs. Black leather and nubuck alternate on the uppers that sit on a very classic looking gum outsole, which looks great with this almost all black Dunk.
Rocksmith teamed up with undefeated WBO middleweight champion of the world, Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin to model a smooth looking capsule collection which receives the blackout treatment for it's Spring 2014 release. The collection features sportswear items made in Eco Leather. The set includes a baseball jersey, camper cap, basketball tank top and shorts.
We know the history, we acknowledge the hype and there is nothing left to do but respect, admire and love the Jordan XI "Concord". Whether it's in it's normal form or the freshly released low, it's a beautiful silhouette and one of my personal favourites.
I'm more of a Coca-Cola man myself, but whatever floats your boat. I was cruising around eBay earlier in celebration of MLB' s much anticipated return, which is super special this year because the opening series kicked off in Australia! Does that mean the curveballs spin in the opposite direction?
Record setting, history was made in these shoes. First round of the 1994 NBA Playoffs, Dikembe Mutombo and the 8-seed Denver Nuggets take on Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton and the #1 ranked Seattle Supersonics. One of the biggest upsets in professional sports history also marks the first time a #8 has defeated a #1 in the NBA Playoffs.
It was the mid-90s when Nike made the bold declaration that they would be the world leader is soccer (football) apparel and you definitely have to admire their continuing dedication to that statement. The latest instalment in their quest is a well thought out, nicely designed away jersey, shorts & socks for The Netherlands.
We're just a few days away from the 13th Annual Jordan Brand Classic (JBC) where the world gets to see a literal picture of who's "next" in a few of the most anticipated games of the year.
When it comes down to innovative materials used on sneakers, you don't have to look further than the Jordan III. Since it's original release in 1988, Tinker Hatfield gave the shoe game (which didn't even exist at this point) a shock: elephant print, a "Jumpman" logo and the first visible air unit in a Jordan shoe.
As some teams prepare for a long off season & the draft lottery (#TankingForWiggins), the NBA's best prepare for what is shaping up to be a very competitive and exciting playoff run. No better time for Nike to unveil their Big 3 Elite Series Hero Collection, featuring premium materials, vivid colors, swoosh's best technology and unlimited amounts of inspiration.
As you know, our boy Allen Iverson has a documentary premiering at the TFF (Tribeca Film Festival) this year and with the recent retiring of his number in Philly, it's safe to say he's been having a pretty good year.
Considering it is Cinco De Mayo, let us all rejoice in the wonderful and colourful uniforms that have been on the backs of Mexico's footballers. Nike (Dri-Fit) for Mexico in 2002: More of the plain side of things, but definitely a classic nonetheless.
Earlier this week, info and pictures surfaced about the latest colorway of the Nike Foamposite One: Concord (Jordan XI) to some very harsh reactions. With the Nike Foamposite One x Supreme release still very fresh (and bitter) in people's memory, details have leaked about an upcoming colorway (no release date announced) which will pay tribute to one of the most popular Jordan shoes ever, XI "Concord".
One of the newest additions to Jordan Brand 's stellar line-up is the , which combines the silhouette of the Jordan XI with some minimalist features. Today we saw two releases of this ROTY (Rookie Of The Year) candidate: Premium Camo and Volt.
A true piece of history, #99 from '99, one of my favorite athletes of all-time is the center (pun intended) of this week's NHL - Friday Throwback Find. Living in Toronto, I've experienced the joy of team Canada taking home Olympic Gold and the Maple Leafs going from playoff ready to golf course ready in a few short months.
Coming off their best regular season in franchise history, the Toronto Raptors (and the city in general) have a lot to be proud about. Whether it's their 48 wins, 1.5 all-stars (Lowry got robbed, man) or the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference playoff bracket, the energy in the city is at an all-time high and it feels stupendous.
Demolition. Bam Bam Bigelow. Sgt Slaughter. Ultimate Warrior. Hulk Holgan. Doink The Clown. Any of these names sounding familiar?
The first thoughts that entered my head when I got a glimpse of some of the changes that Florida State University and Nike have made to their new uniforms. What makes this even more exciting is that the changes reflect multiple sports, such as Football, Baseball, Basketball & Soccer; all of which will be unique and updated from last season.
"Historically, UM has been a trendsetter in college football for uniform designs," Miami Athletic Director Blake James said, "With this latest uniform design, we are able to combine our iconic history with South Florida tradition and a modern edge."
The 10 country's that will wear Nike uniforms this World Cup all have wonderful sets that combine high performance functionality, style, great design and symbolism unique to each country. After they were all revealed earlier this year in Madrid, Nike has set the bar even higher with Player Collections, Artist Collaborations and even a special edition Jordan VI to commemorate Brasil's storied history.
Wow. World Cup hype is reaching a fevered pitch (no pun intended) with the start of the 2014 matches and one of my favourite things to watch (aside from the game of course) is all the great swag that comes along with it all.
