Unfortunately, we're also in the middle of a global health pandemic that is requiring us to practice social (or physical) distancing - meaning avoiding public gatherings, avoiding making non-essential trips, and forcing us to work from home, if possible.
We've entered our second month of social distancing and self-isolation due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Although there is now a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel with some countries and Canadian provinces discussing entering the early stages of reopening the economy, it seems like we still have at least a few more weeks before social distancing rules are relaxed.
Winters in Ottawa can be tough. The shorter days and colder weather can be discouraging, making everyone feel like going straight home after work and staying in until the next day.
