How the queer youth are finding themselves in ukay-ukay
In my last longform article for my Rappler internship, I got to interview peers and write about the significance of thrifting in the local queer community.
I'm a BFA Creative Writing major at the Ateneo de Manila University, concentrating in nonfiction. Some interests of mine are food, poetry, and internet culture. Work experience so far includes an internship at Rappler, where I wrote for Lifestyle and Entertainment.

For my first Rappler byline, I wrote about my experience baking adobo chocolate chip cookies and my newfound appreciation for fusion desserts.
For One Big Pride 2022's animated short, I wrote a concept story that would reflect Pride as a celebration of love as well as a protest.
This is the piece I wrote for the first half of this semester's Nonfiction Workshop, under Carlomar Daoana. Though it is intended to be a celebrity profile, I've decided to take a more personal angle and made it my task to humanize Lorde and situate her in a larger social context, as I believe that's what Solar Power is about.
On a whim, I wrote about Andrew Garfield and sent it to InqPOP! as a contribution, and they were kind enough to publish it. Thank you, InqPOP!
