Vegas Golden Knights Beat Reporter

After interning with Pittsburgh Hockey Now in college, I was promoted to be the full-time beat writer of the Vegas Golden Knights through National Hockey Now. I covered the team remotely during the 2021-22 season while finishing my senior year of college. I moved to Nevada to cover the team full-time and in person for the 2022-23 season, where the team won the Stanley Cup.

Gameday Media

In my four years at Robert Morris University, I was involved with RMU-TV's live sports productions for our Division 1 Athletic programs. I served as a play-by-play commentator, color commentator, radio producer, replay operator, camera operator, time-out coordinator, and sideline reporter with RMU Live Sports. The video attached is an Emmy-nominated broadcast of ours from March 2020.

Reporter

In the summers of 2021 and 2022, I worked with the Titusville Herald, a local newspaper close to where I grew up. This opportunity allowed me to get the real-world experience of being in a newsroom. I got to cover some unique events, such as power parachuting, and segway tours. I also learned a lot about the history of Titusville. Attached is an event that I covered called the "Hill-Billy Fly-in."

Colonial Sports Network Articles

I wrote for RMU Sentry Media and later, Colonial Sports Network during my four years at Robert Morris. Both were student-run news organizations covering campus events. I wrote the standard game recaps and previews but primarily focused on men's and women's hockey features. Below is an example of an article I wrote about a women's hockey player who almost lost her leg in a rollerblading accident.

Stack the Pads Podcast

I served as the podcast/web show general manager for Colonial Sports Network, Robert Morris' student-run sports publication, for three years. It was my responsibility to oversee all Division 1 podcasts for RMU Athletics at CSN. For three seasons, I produced the Stack the Pads podcast, which covered Robert Morris men's and women's hockey. We had a new guest every week, ranging from players to coaches and media members. The Stack the Pads podcast won two communicator awards.

At RMU, I was a recurring television personality for the student-run television program Colonial Sports Center, which covers RMU D1 Athletics in a SportsCenter-styled program. I also appeared on Sports Talk in the Burgh, an opinionated TV program surrounded around professional sports in Pittsburgh. My main role was to analyze sports teams, whether that be RMU Athletics, the Pirates, Penguins, or Steelers. Attached below is our show from March 4th, 2021.

Pittsburgh Sports Castle

For three years I wrote for Pittsburgh Sports Castle, a sports blog out of Pittsburgh. I wrote opinionated and regularly scheduled columns about the Pittsburgh Penguins. Attached is the largest article that I have ever written for a sports publication. This article analyzes the Penguins' 2010 decade in four parts.
