Mvelase Peppetta

Communications & PR Specialist and Freelance Writer

South Africa

In my decade long media career I have been working in the marketing sector for more than seven years working at leading PR agencies conceptualising, implementing & managing campaigns for leading global & local brands, businesses, & organisations across a variety of sectors.

In addition to that more formal part of my media career, I also have been a freelance writer and lifestyle & news commentator for local & international broadcast & print media, with hardly any topic - except for football perhaps - being something I won't hold an opinion on.

Into the heart of white suburbia and the fear of the black body

The Peppettas were the fifth black family to move into Bluewater Bay in Port Elizabeth. This fact came to my parents by way of a "maid" who worked nearby. She knew because the arrival of every black family was noted and discussed in secrecy among her white employers and their white friends.

The disruptive power of social media on US foreign policy - Memeburn

What's less known though is the prominent role social media, under the guidance of Foreign Secretary Hillary Clinton, has played in his Presidency's foreign policy.

The Arrogance of Power: The South Africa's Leadership Meltdown | Not now, darling...

The Arrogance of Power: The South Africa's Leadership Meltdown REVIEW: Mvelase Peppetta For me, politics is more than just mere politics. It can be as much a piece of entertainment as good a movie. At various points in my life, I've found myself deeply invested in politics as strange as following the merry-go-round of Japanese Prime-Ministers to small district races in the US.
