Meagan Jeffrey is a woman full of emotion and heart. In Untouchable Words, she uses poetry to convey what she feels inside, the emotions that fill every part of her. And they're emotions you've probably felt too or are currently dealing with. She also uses her original song lyrics to go on a journey of realization and discovery through the heart and mind. It's a beautiful adventure of love and heartache, joy and sorrow.
I first want to say bravo to Meagan Jeffrey. To not only write poetry but music lyrics for her collection takes a lot of talent and the beauty of her word choice in these pieces shows that talent off even more. I rated this four out of five due to my feeling that this needs some polishing and editing to bring it to perfection, but it's pretty darn close. The synopsis on Amazon uses the word 'raw' and I think that's a perfect word to describe the emotions relayed here. Some of the pieces cut right to the bone and cut right to the chase, telling you straight out what the poet is feeling and helping you realize that you feel it too. While reading, you feel connected to the writer in a way that I think is unique to poetry. Only through raw words can you so easily slide into the conscience of someone you have never met and probably will never meet.
Untouchable Words touches the places you never thought anyone could go and helps you heal from pains you might not have even known you had. So, while this still has work needed, it's a beautiful, elegant piece that I think people of many age groups would benefit from.

Good morning, I thought because it's early morning I'd get my Tim Horton's post or should I say rant out of the way. If you're Canadian, Tim Horton's is most likely your home away from home. It's a nice, fast way to get your breakfast (or other meals and snacks) and drink.
