I returned to school full time in 2014 to follow my passion for research, analysis and writing toward journalism opportunities.

Along the way, I learned to use photos, video, and sound to enhance my narrative skills and tell even better stories.

And then....I learned multi-media which brought many of the components together and allowed me to tell the most compelling stories ever.

Westmount science students earn top honours at BASEF

Hamilton Mountain News Mountain students made a strong showing at the Bay Area Science and Engineering Fair where judges evaluated over 390 projects by students from across the region. Westmount's Isabella O'Brien won the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Pinnacle Best in Fair award, taking the top prize for her project "Aquatic Osteoporosis: Remediating the emerging problem of lake calcium decline."

Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts

Constructed in 1904-05 the Conservatory building was designed for creativity, with horsehair stuffed doors to ensure state-of-the-art soundproofing in practice rooms, an acoustically inviting recital hall and a quiet attic atelier space. Standing tall at the edge of the downtown core, the strength of the structure underpins its resilient pursuit of the arts, even through difficult times.
