Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dominican Republic has suffered a tremendous amount of loss. The impact of the virus has caused medical centers to max out, full to their capacity with very little resources for patients.

Until I heard these words, "It's okay not to be okay." Those were the words that a close friend said to me as I was at work struggling to keep it together one day.
In 2017, it was recorded that 58.9% of people in Swaziland were living below the poverty line. Despite the country's lower-middle-class status, the poverty rate continues to persist. Challenges such as low economic growth, severe weather patterns, high unemployment, high cases of HIV/AIDS and a high amount of malnutrition, the Swaziland population is struggling with an immense amount of poverty.
The Dominican Republic is one of the most well-known and most visited countries internationally for tourists in the Caribbean. Although it is a rich area for tourists to travel, the poverty rate remains a major issue. Located in rural areas are many families who do not have proper schooling.

This world can suck the life out of you. It can drain you dry, steal you of your innocence, your joy, and rob you of your voice. With everything going on within this world, the thought of wondering when does it end? comes to many minds.
