Kelly is a Philadelphia-area creative specializing in writing, content marketing, social media, and visual storytelling through film and video.
She has earned Bachelor’s Degrees in English and History from the University of Delaware, and has since worked in communications roles for a variety of organizations in the retail, lifestyle, travel, and architecture/design industries.
In addition to her career in communications, Kelly is an active independent filmmaker. She has written, directed, and produced numerous original narrative short films and documentaries; each of which have been screened in museums and film festivals nationwide.
Kelly has served as a guest speaker at higher education institutions including Haverford College, West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and Temple University, presenting on the topics of screenwriting and filmmaking.
She is currently a Contributing Writer for the internationally renowned digital platform Accidentally Wes Anderson. Her narrative and editorial works have been published on QVC.com, Odyssa Magazine, The WC Press, and Delaware Business Magazine.

From the filmmakers: "3:13 is a one-minute horror short created for Make Long Story Shorts, on Instagram. Inspired by the phenomenon of sleep paralysis, this film follows Maria (Robbie Jean) who experiences a terrifying visit by a shadowy Demon (Diamond Simone) at 3:13 AM, but can't move-only to wake up and realize it was a nightmare.
Making a complete film that lasts only a minute takes far more time to shoot and edit. Kelly Murray and Hillary Hanak opened up to me about what was involved in making the one-minute-long horror film, 3:13.Steven Gladstone: How long have you been working in the industry, and how did you get started?
