The future of archaeology starts with No Man's Sky - Versions

Destructive treasure hunters like Nathan Drake and Lara Croft tumble through decadent crypts, dismantling rare artifacts in their wake. Their scrabbling work, however incidental, is the antithesis to the careful field of archaeology. Yet, in marketing materials they're labeled both as explorers and, yes, archaeologists.

What the F**k is a Miitomo? Navigating Nintendo's New Social Network

There's been a lot of buzz around the internet about Miitomo, Nintendo's first brave step into the mobile market. The elevator pitch is that it's a hybrid between a social network and a mobile game. But if 10 million unique users is anything to go by, it might be a lot more intricate than that.

Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS - Review | Shinigaming

Much like Super Smash Brothers, Nintendo have landed on another successful Wii U title to port to their handheld console. Guilt Trip: Romeo + Juliet (1996)

Under love's heavy burden do I sink to tell you that Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet is easily one of my favourite movies of all time. I can feel your leering eyes, judging me through the paper. Some might say it's almost sickly in the way that it seethes garish colour and embellished set pieces.

Gamescom 2016: Civilization VI compels you to take one more turn

When I think about Civilization games, I think of 3 A.M. moments of existential dread, hammering the next turn button and getting ready for the dawn of war. Usually, I'm met with shock when Gandhi launches a nuke and I'm completely unprepared. It's great fun, and the sixth instalment only makes it that much better.

ABZÛ Review - Beyond the Sea

Games often attempt to tackle the unpredictable mystique of the sea. Most of the time, they fall short of truly adapting the ebb and flow and end up producing a lifeless paddling pool experience. I'm here to tell you that ABZÛ, the latest from Journey and Flower alum Matt Nava, is certainly not that.

REVIEW: The Revenant

The Revenant is a wonderfully clever film, managing to flawlessly combine both beautiful scenery and the harshness of the conditions the characters must face, and maintaining this throughout the entire two-and-a-half hour run time. The true grit here is stunning, and will leave you with a pit in your stomach for hours afterwards.
