Jessica Derschowitz

I’m an editor and writer based in New York City covering all things entertainment and pop culture—you can find my work in outlets like Vanity Fair, Variety, Backstage, Thrillist, Bustle, and more. I also spent more than six years at Entertainment Weekly, where I started as a news editor and became the digital features director, working on everything from digital cover stories to special projects, awards season coverage, and assigning and editing stories on just about anything EW covers (along with writing things myself, mostly about movies and theater).

When I’m not working, you can usually find me talking about (or seeing) movies and Broadway shows, watching too much TV, and trying to become a better cook…or at least cook more frequently.
