Jessica Castillo formerly Medina is a communications professional with over ten years of experience in media. She has a bachelor's degree from The University of Arizona in Mass Communications & Journalism. Her experience encompasses many aspects of media from sales, traffic, marketing, social media, editorial, and as an on-air television talent, radio, writing, and experience in production. Her career on television has been in entertainment but has also covered sports, fashion and beauty, and some news. Jessica has the passion for entertainment news and charisma to produce engaging celebrity interviews in Spanish and English. Jessica is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the American Marketing Association.
For the past three years, she worked as the Freelance NY Correspondent for Mega TV national network owned by the Spanish Broadcasting System. She produced her packages for next-day air, researched the most significant red-carpet events in New York City, scheduled interviews with famous Latin talent. She has worked for multiple well-known Spanish television networks such as Telemundo 47, Super Canal Caribe, Television Dominicana, to name a few. Jessica edited her video packages, produced voiceovers when needed, and provided airchecks for publicists and management. Her articles are featured on Yahoo, Zona De Sabor, Latin Times, Latina Magazine & Variety Latino. In addition, she has strong attention to detail and considerable organizational, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, which have allowed her to be successful thus far in both television and editorial. Jessica's aspirations in the future are to transition from entertainment to news reporting. Currently, she is an independent contractor for brands needing social media management/marketing, content creation, website design & logo, and writing services, to name a few benefits. She is also pursuing her master's degree at Rutgers University with degree in Communication and Media with a concentration in Digital Media and is expected graduation May 2023.
