Writing, proofreading, and editing have been at the core of her career as a Senior Information Specialist for the Division of Continuing Education at the University of North Florida, Academic Advisor at UNF’s Academic Center for Excellence, and English Teacher in Duval County Public Schools. She created and edited websites, social media content, online marketing copy, newsletters, instruction manuals, advising guides, staff bios, technical directions, and FAQs.

She enjoys copy editing, line editing, proofreading, beta reading, social media management, website maintenance, technical writing, marketing, and advertising writing and teaching.

She has taught Creative Writing, English, Reading, Study Skills, and Test Preparation to Middle and High Schools Students. She created and led academic success workshops and information sessions for various departmental programs at the college level.

She has performed as a spoken word artist all over South Florida and in her hometown of Jacksonville. Currently, she’s building her creative and joyful muscles online through participating and playing in Zoomprov. It’s improv (Yes! Like the “Whose Line Is It Anyway” Improv) but on Zoom because, well, technology and “world circumstances” and loving it.

Gloria earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English and Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing. She teaches Creative Writing, English Language Arts, Reading, and Test Preparation to private students locally and all over the country online.
