Bursting with ancient mysteries and rugged Andean culture, the Inca Trail is an unforgettable hike to experience in Peru. Once the main passageway for the Inca to enter Machu Picchu, the Inca Trail is popular among tourists who wish to explore the secrets left behind by this thriving civilization.
One of the most diverse cities you can visit in all of Peru, Cusco is known both for its incredible architecture and nearby Sacred Valley region. However itโs the surrounding Andean landscapes that really bring this city and region to life, where we can find multi-colored mountains, deep blue glacial lagoons, snow-capped peaks and more.
Note: there is currently quite a bit of political turbulence in Peru that can cause disruptions for travellers. Be sure to check travel advisories. Most travellers heading to Peru will most likely touch down in the capital, but quickly move on to other more popular destinations such as Cusco and Arequipa.
