Bow Valley College is all about lifelong learning. For Ashley Holloway, a BVC clinical and lab instructor, that means anything from learning how to survive in the dead of winter in Northern Alberta, to enduring seven weeks of physical and mental challenges.
On March 4, Bow Valley College welcomed Heather Klimchuk, Alberta's Minster of Human Services, for a tour of the downtown campus. The whirlwind tour took Klimchuck to every corner of the College, including showcasing the College's campus partners, and the many pathways and transferrable options learners have, to visiting health care aide and early learning childcare learners.
Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi was a keynote speaker at the Calgary Economic Development, Soul of the City event, held at Bow Valley College on Jan 15, 2014. As Calgary faces a potential workforce shortage, it seems like a natural fit to host the Soul of the City, Diversity is good for Business on BVC campus.

Loading more stuff... One should never underestimate the savoury satisfaction of a good burger. Finding the right meat-to-bun-to-condiments ratio is tricky, and can often yield messy or awful results. Enter the Burger Inn, an institutional staple in Calgary's resto scene since 1988 - and, not to get all hipster, but it's worth noting they were around before burger joints were popular.
