I'm a creative thinker with a talent for conceptualizing, writing and visualizing. A media arts major specializing in film and video production, I wrote and directed two independent films before becoming a video scriptwriter and producer for a major corporation. At that same company I advanced in a career in Marketing Communications, combining my writing skills with project management to support large, multi-audience marketing campaigns. In addition, I have taught college-level courses on media scriptwriting and film studies, and have written about film for books and magazines.
Palmetto Health/Prisma Health
Magazine format mailer sent to 30,000 households to advertise a program of public seminars during National Heart Month, 2016. Also included are patient stories, a story on the Heart Hospital's 10th anniversary and heart health information. I wrote the copy and coordinated all the public events advertised.
For this direct mail piece, I served as copywriter and project manager. The mailer was part of an ad campaign that included a TV spot, Facebook sponsored posts and Google banner ads.
This is just one example from a series of brochures that I researched and wrote on various children's health and safety topics. The brochures were distributed to pediatrician and family medicine offices to display in their waiting areas and give parents helpful reading material. They also helped elevate the Palmetto Health brand. Part of my role as a marketing strategist at Prisma Health was working with physicians to write newsletter and blog articles, such as this one on Type 1 diabetes in children.
I wrote this news story on the hospital's new neurointerventional suite, including a patient's experience undergoing a minimally invasive procedure for an aneurysm.
I worked with a physician leader to write the copy for this brochure promoting the new Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Center at Prisma Health. I also coordinated the photo shoot involving a former patient at the hospital.
I served as editor of this journal featuring articles from Palmetto Health's neuroscience physicians. The journal is targeted to a physician audience.

For this interactive benefits learning website, I served as a copywriter, coordinated approvals from business partners and legal, and led the creation of product videos found on the 'Benefits Overview' page.

This is a brochure that details the services and advantages that a large account has in partnering with the company. I worked out the creative concept and was the copywriter.
I was copywriter and coordinated the creation of this "personal needs" flier that starts a person thinking about the need for life insurance. It was part of a series. Other products included accident, critical illness, disability, cancer and hospital confinement insurance.
