Fort Stewart dedicates small arms range complex to late WWII hero

On a chilly Thursday morning, members of the 3rd Infantry Division, civilians and other units across both Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield gathered at the Delta Range at 10 a.m. Dec. 6 to dedicate the Small Arms Range Complex to World War II hero 1st Lt. Garlin "Murl" Conner.

"Never Alone, Always Together" is the saying that adorns the merchandise and flyers for Buddy Watch Inc. Buddy Watch is a local non-profit raising money for the birth of a new community of tiny homes for those homeless veterans seeking help.

City council convenes for workshop on salaries and budget

Georgia's Youth ChalleNGe program celebrates anniversary

Fort Stewart tends to hold many accolades- especially being the home of the 3rd Infantry Division. Yet, there's more than meets the eye. LCEMA prepares ahead of Hurricane Michael

Liberty County Emergency Management Agency received an update from the National Weather Service in Charleston this afternoon concerning Hurricane Michael. Currently, Michael has been upgraded to a hurricane as of Oct. 8, and the local impacts are predicted to arrive as early as Wednesday morning.

LCSS talks space, environment and food with astronaut aboard the ISS

Greeted by 135 students and 90 faculty, staff and VIPs, the NASA Day at Liberty County Board of Education did not disappoint. Liberty County School System held an out-of-this-world opportunity to speak with an astronaut on the International Space Station Sept. 17 for a handful of lucky students district-wide.

Historic ceremony held for MEDDAC command change

In the oppressive heat of South Georgia, units of soldiers stood at attention last Friday representing U.S. Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC)-Fort Stewart. These men and women serve with Winn Army Community Hospital, Tuttle Army Health Clinic and the Warrior Transition Battalion, and were all present for a historic ceremony.
