Stephen Shea

Communications Manager, educational publishing background

United States

I have the writing, editing, and leadership skills to develop and maintain core and marketing content, communicate with customers and the public about events, products, and issues, and successfully manage projects involving cross-functional teams.

For 15 years, I sourced, edited, and supplemented a wide variety of content, including literacy support materials, psychological evaluation manuals, literary and educational fiction, and engineering/architecture test review. I worked for two start-ups, two small and independent publishers, and two larger corporations, which gave me a rich variety of experience as a specialist and as a generalist.

I am proud that I led the modernization of book design and art style at High Noon Books (www.highnoonbooks.com), developed top-selling series there, and wrote significant portions of content to suit stringent requirements, and many of the product descriptions still in the catalog.
