Planning for Relay For Life of Southfield in Full Effect

SOUTHFIELD— The planning committee for Relay for Life of Southfield is diligently preparing for the upcoming Relay season. This year's Relay is scheduled for June 7-8, 2014 at Thompson K-8 School in Southfield, Mich. Each year the committee strives to surpass its previous year's successes. Last year the event raised $36,363 for the American Cancer Society. The committee's goal for the 2014 Relay season is $40,425.

Project GiveBack Draws Record Numbers

Staff Writer WASHINGTON, DC - Ransom Miller, III, Founder and Chair of Project GiveBack, spent most of his Saturday morning hustling around the Lincoln Multicultural Middle School in preparation of the organization's largest community service event. Miller, an alumnus of Howard University, was among over 600 volunteers who took part in the 19th Annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution event.

Chapel Assistants Spread Holiday Cheer

Staff Writer CAMPUS - The Howard University Chapel Assistants are working diligently this holiday season to make sure D.C. children have a lot to smile about. On Friday, November 22nd, nearly 100 volunteers from across campus joined the organization in the lower level of Cramton Auditorium for its 14th Annual Angel Tree Gift Wrapping Party.
