Restore the Fourth held its Atlanta protest at noon today at the gold-domed Georgia state capitol. Restore the Fourth is a national protest that is being held on the 4th of July in one hundred cities across America.

sing, Monsanto, sing

Occupy Atlanta joined protesters in fifty-two countries world-wide today to rail out against corporate giant Monsanto in Atlanta's March against Monsanto. The march began in Piedmont Park at 2 p.m. and circled a portion of the city's BeltLine, chanting lines orchestrated by megaphones and carrying signs under the hot Memorial weekend sun.

the apocalyptic now, and tallying

The regular registers, however, had only had lines of maybe four or five customers, so I took my place Monday night in one of them, wondering, with other customers, why the lines that snaked back around the corner at the frozen section. Maybe they were assuming the worst had already happened…
