Blood Donor - Sheri McClure - Medium

When I was twelve, I was diagnosed with osteomyelitis, which is an infection of the bone marrow. The nurses said it was the worst case Valley Children's Hospital had seen in over a decade. I had two hip aspirations, they inserted a broviac (an IV line directly to my heart), and I was in the hospital for over a month. Photo credit: Michael May, Instagram: michaelmay2943
