Three Bulldogs advance to wrestling regional

ELWOOD - Three Lapel wrestlers will advance to regional action after the team took seventh place at the Elwood sectional Saturday, Jan. 28. The team chalked up 82 points in the 11-team event won by Pendleton Heights.

PH ends winning season at semistate

NEW CASTLE - All good things must come to an end, as the saying goes, and that was the case Saturday, Feb. 11, at the semistate wrestling tournament at New Castle, as a successful Pendleton Heights wrestling season (15-8) wrapped up after a handful of Arabians took to the mats.

Pendleton finishes fifth at HHC

MUNCIE - The Pendleton Heights wrestling team finished fifth at the Hoosier Heritage Conference meet on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Delta High School. The meet was also attended by Yorktown, Greenfield-Central, Delta, New Castle, Mt. Vernon, New Palestine and Shelbyville high schools.

NEW CASTLE - Going 40-5 in his season, Lapel High School's Harrison Hadley represented his school all the way to the second round of semistate wrestling action last weekend at New Castle High School Hadley (106 pounds) lost to Carmel High School's Brendon Mattingly on Saturday, Feb. 11.

ELWOOD - The Arabian wrestling team scored 218.5 points to take first place in sectional competition Saturday, Jan. 28, at Elwood Community High School. Gamma Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha 21st Annual Miss Black & Gold Pageant

The Grapevine By Shekinah Ragland On Feb. 16, the Gamma Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity had their 21st annual Miss Black and Gold pageant. Nine college women participated in this year's pageant. This year's theme was Cirque Du Soleil. The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity began the pageant off with the nine contestants stepping.
