Your one-stop shop to cultivate your vision. Whether we are brainstorming or in final revisions, I offer a versatile range of writing, research, and editing strengths to guide your project toward its full and polished potential.
I employ an interdisciplinary approach to writing so that I may serve a full scope of creative, corporate and nonprofit clients. Moreover, I understand that writing is for the reader and so your intended audience is always front and center to how we approach and deliver language. If we're writing a company-wide email to staff or creating a presentation for a client, we seriously consider the ways in which audience and platform determine a project's final organization, format, and voice.
Since 2010, I have worked in tech, real estate, and higher ed fields, which has allowed me to develop a portfolio that includes scripts, newsletters, PowerPoints, and company-specific reports and programming guides. More recently, I volunteer on documentaries, literary mags, and podcasts so I can gain insight into multimedia, digital, and social media formats and their growing relationship to storytelling.
Finally, my educational background is instrumental to how I support my clients. As a former teacher, I understand the importance of inclusion as well as the necessity to supply multiple instructional approaches to writing so all learning styles can be accommodated. Specifically, my teaching adopts critical expressivism, social construcivism, and post-process pedagogies. As a master's graduate, I have a coursework background that includes Screenwriting, Academic/Professional Writing, editing seminars, and fiction- and nonfiction-writing workshops.
So much of our writing these days are considered "living docs;" therefore, I embrace an approach to writing and project management that is ever-evolving and innovative, where language and its overarching structures are crafted as durable, resilient, and welcoming to revisions and change.
