I am currently active duty Army and have 8 years remaining before I retire from active service. I have been married for over 15 years and my wife and I have four children together. I was born in Louisville, KY but have grown up all over. I was an Army Brat growing up and aside from Kentucky, I have lived in Hawaii, California, Alabama, Kansas, Missouri, and Maryland. I am currently perusing my BA in Mass Communications and Media Studies from Arizona State University while on active duty.

I am an avid sports fan and currently blog for Tomahawk Take (http://tomahawktake.com) of the FanSided Network, about the Atlanta Braves. FanSided was just recently purchased by TIME, INC. I have a personal blog, Talkin' Tomahawk 2.0 (https://talkintomahawkblog.wordpress.com), as well, that I have just migrated over to WordPress from Google's Blogger service. My personal blog is about baseball at the moment, but hope to write about football as well. I currently have over 50 articles online with Tomahawk Take. Writing for Tomahawk Take and FanSided has afforded me the chance to be a member of the Internet Baseball Writers Association of America (IBWAA). I am a lifetime member.

We the fans...

"You know, we should really start loading up the box." "We won the World Series!" The pronoun " we", when referring to a sports team, is synonymous with die-hard fans. And for the die-hard fan, " we" is used as if they were Liberty Media or Arthur Blank, even though this isn't even close to the truth.

From Batting Averages to Launch Angles ... It's Still Baseball

Picture this ... Braves are down a run with Nick "I only hit doubles" Markakis standing on second base, after a booming double to the gap gets by any Nationals outfielder not named Harper. There are two outs. Johan Camargo steps up to the plate.

Atlanta Braves Outfield - Who to Watch in Spring Training

We all know who Ronald Acuna is and where he sits in all of the MLB prospect rankings. If you don't, then it's probably time to crawl out from under your rock. However, with the recent revelation that Acuna begins the 2018 season in AAA-Gwinnett, Atlanta will kick off the season with four outfielders.

Atlanta Braves Long Term Goals (The Kasten Plan) Will be Worth Wait

As die-hard fans of the Atlanta Braves, it's easy to get caught up in the emotion of things as we watch them unfold before our very eyes. It's easy to be that arm-chair GM when something happens that we don't like. My advice: Stay the course, this too, shall pass.

Atlanta Braves Off-Season Free Agent Outlook: Catchers

Catching is a Hot Ticket Position, What Does Atlanta Do? A.J. Pierzynski is not going to be with the Atlanta Braves in 2017. I have loved Tyler Flowers in Atlanta this year and think he has really helped this young pitching staff.

Atlanta Braves Leaving Fulton County: One Last Pilgrimage, Part 2

The excitement and anxiousness I felt leaving work Wednesday evening was comparable to a 10 year old preparing for Christmas Day, on Christmas Eve. My enthusiasm was that high! Thursday morning at 7:30 AM, July 28th, 2016, I set out for the 11+ hour drive to Macon (I stayed with family there).

Beyond The Numbers: Atlanta Braves' Nick Markakis Leads by Example; Does It Right

The Atlanta Braves' Nick Markakis has been quietly having an immediate, productive, and positive impact on this young Braves squad. If you saw the Monday night tilt in Baltimore last week, you would have seen why. In Markakis' first at bat since leaving the Orioles, the team he spent his first 9 seasons with, you [...]
