Postmodern Jukebox puts new spin on familiar tunes

The idea to mash up contemporary pop, rock and R&B music with classic styles like ragtime and blues came to Bradlee as a child, while he was teaching himself to play piano. Watching the band's videos will take viewers across the decades, listening to a vintage version of Radiohead's "Creep" to a bluegrass barn dance version of Robin Thicke's hit "Blurred Lines."

Arts incubator Albany Barn marks 10th year

Shelter and care for families in crisis

While the bustle of our lives can be easily taken for granted, the homeless mothers and children that stay in St. Paul's Center lomg to have these daily tasks. Tracy Pitcher, executive director of the center in Rensselaer, is aware of the issue of homelessness and poverty in the Capital Region and hopes the rest of the community begins to recognize the growing problem.
