Richard Schwartz

United Kingdom

Since 1985, I have mainly covered financial market infrastructure and operations with forays into broader political and economic issues. I have also edited a quarterly magazine on philanthropy management. In 2018, I helped set up Tungsten Publishing Ltd, which owns and runs Global Custodian and The Trade. I am currently Special Projects Editor and Head of Research at Global Custodian.

This page covers my journalism, art and poetry.

For the Old Country: Selected Poems

For the Old Country is the debut collection of poems from Richard Schwartz. These playful, witty and ironic poems are a unique record of a personal, tribal, political and above all global author.

The Other Spinoza: A compendium of less famous siblings

You know about Albert Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity, but do you know if he ever helped his sister Maja with her homework? How did Marxist theoretician Antonio Gramsci cope with the fact that his brother Mario was a fascist? Did Bob Dylan ever push his younger brother David off his bicycle? These questions (some more intriguing than others) may or may not be answered in The Other Spinoza.
