My passion for writing began at a young age. The smell of a new book, the feel of crisp pages, the immersive experience of a page turner, the emotions and imagery invoked in your head; all of these details enthralled me.
Due to my love for reading, creative writing and grammar became my most beloved subjects throughout my school career. I won numerous contests for both creative writing as well as non-fictional essays, and was praised by my educators for being advanced beyond my years in literature.
At age 16, I composed a young adult thriller. However, I am reluctant to say that I never took the chance in pursuing getting it published. After high school, I crafted multiple short stories for a free publication named "Family Matters News". It was established and distributed via a local therapist. After the newsletter ran its course, I regret to say that I pushed my dream of becoming an author to the side and settled into humdrum jobs to get by.
Although my love for writing never ceased, my creative journey came to and end...or so I thought. 20 years later, it is still my passion to create...to write. I hope that someone appreciates my spark and my drive and presents me with an opportunity to get my name out into the world.
Never give up on your dreams.
