Salford-trained gymnast Willow Clarke-May travelled over 3,000 miles to compete for Great Britain in the trampolining world championships - where she came 16th. The competition took place in St Petersburg and saw more than 40 countries participate in one of the biggest sporting events in Russia.
As part of Manchester Airport's 80th birthday celebrations, communities across Greater Manchester were gifted commemorative oak trees and time capsules to mark the mile stone. One of the lucky recipients was Monton Sports Club in Salford. 'Unsung hero' and Salford resident Keith Brookes along with Salford MP Rebecca Long-Bailey planted the tree this morning on the frosty fields of the clubs grounds.
Natalie Lek, who has a reputation of being the 'food fairy of the North' for her charity work, is struggling to come up with the funds to provide over 1000 dinners to those in need this Christmas. Since her last feature on Salford Now, Natalie has been unable to reach her initial goal of £3000.
