In celebration of The Makeup Shows 10-years of success in the industry the company wanted to create a show experience unlike any other. Taking what’s usually a 2-day event and making it a weeklong event, The Makeup Show wanted to celebrate their history through their sponsors while generating significant press around the show, and the week of events. The goal was to have the largest attended show in company history while achieving client satisfaction in terms of product sales.
The Makeup Show had been a successful national tradeshow event in the beauty industry relying on conventional marketing strategies such as post card mailings, cold-calls, and word of mouth communication. Wanting to boost the attendance of the Orlando show; the smallest of all events; The Makeup Show incorporated their largest sponsor Make Up For Ever and using client artist Eryn Kruger Mekash, lead makeup artist for American Horror Story: Freak show.
