Hertha Berlin Season Preview 2019: Can Hertha push for a European spot?

An 11thplace finish is what came of Hertha Berlin in what should be regarded as a very mediocre season, a season in which they started strongly. Until game week six they were sat in third position after a series of wins, most notably a 2-0 over Bayern Munich and a 4-2 win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Hamilton tops the timings as Bottas hits trouble

The front three drivers of Hamilton, Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel were covered by just 0.166 seconds, ahead of Pierre Gasly who finished the session in fourth. With Bottas running into trouble and Charles Leclerc struggling to impress in sixth, it gave Kevin Magnussen a chance to give the Haas team something to cheer about, putting his car in a solid fifth position.

With the 2019 season reaching its halfway point after this weekend's German Grand Prix, it means that silly season is just around the corner. Last years' driver changes included a rookie being thrusted into a Ferrari seat, three more rookies got big breaks and two drivers came back to the grid after a sabbatical from the big time.
