The word “multifaceted” best describes this established editor and cross-platform content creator.
With over 18 years of media, marketing and publishing experience, Candy has interviewed personalities from all walks of life, including Hollywood A-listers, Asian celebrities and politicians. In 2012, she was recognised with an Editorial Merit Award by the Magazine Publisher's Association, for her hard-hitting feature which threw the spotlight on the issue of child sexual abuse.
An advocate of animal rights, this dedicated dog lover and pole fitness junkie is an introspective mum-of-three who plays hard – and works harder. She has built an impressive portfolio of editorial and commercial work that includes content creation and art direction for lifestyle publications, websites, and social media platforms.
Candy was the Editor of Harper's BAZAAR Junior, and as the former Features Editor of The Singapore Women's Weekly, Candy spearheaded the annual Great Women of Our Time Awards for seven years (from 2010). Recognised as a thought leader in the community, she was called to the judging panel of the People's Association Women's Integration Network (WIN) Awards (which acknowledges women grassroots leaders), and was also invited to be a parent judge for Harper's BAZAAR Junior's Annual Toy Awards in 2014 and 2015.
Believing strongly in the dynamic power of collaborations, Candy co-founded The Fashion Collective Singapore (www.thefashioncollective.com.sg), an industry aggregator which unites independent professionals under a common banner; and The Editor's Journal, an online resource for beauty and fashion-related content. Candy is also the editor behind the beautiful and informative lifestyle blog, SANCTUARY - Living by The Yoga School.
