Candy Lim-Soliano

Freelance Editor/Writer and Digital Content Creator

Singapore

Savvy and adaptable, Candy is an established editor and cross-platform content creator with over 18 years of media, marketing and publishing experience. She has produced quality editorial content for both digital and print publications such as The Singapore Women's Weekly, Her World, Harper's Bazaar Junior, The Finder, Men's Health, and L'Officiel.

In 2012, Candy was recognised with an Editorial Merit Award by the Magazine Publisher's Association, for her hard-hitting feature which threw the spotlight on the issue of child sexual abuse. She has interviewed personalities from all walks of life, including Hollywood A-listers, Asian celebrities and politicians.

An introspective mum-of-three who plays hard – and works harder, Candy has built an impressive portfolio of editorial and commercial work that includes content creation and art direction for lifestyle publications, websites, and social media platforms.

Candy was formerly the Editor of The Singapore Women's Weekly. She spent 8 years at the esteemed women's publication, during which she spearheaded the annual Great Women of Our Time Awards. Candy was also the Editor of Harper's BAZAAR Junior. Recognised as a thought leader in the community, she was called to the judging panel of the People's Association Women's Integration Network (WIN) Awards (which acknowledges women grassroots leaders), and was also invited to be a parent judge for Harper's BAZAAR Junior's Annual Toy Awards in 2014 and 2015.

Believing strongly in the dynamic power of collaborations, Candy co-founded The Fashion Collective Singapore (www.thefashioncollective.com.sg), a collaborative platform which unites independent professionals under a common banner; and The Editor's Journal, an online resource for beauty and fashion-related content. Candy was also the Digital Editor behind the beautiful and informative lifestyle blog, SANCTUARY - Living by The Yoga School.

An International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants Accredited Dog Trainer, Candy is a Fear Free Shelter Certified advocate of humane training and animal welfare. She founded House of Muttcakes, a local barkery that serves up high quality human grade bakes and treats; and KAIZEN 4 DOGS, a facility which offers reward-based training, daycare, and grooming.
