Freelance Editor (Features / Beauty)
If you had to describe Candy Lim in one word, “multifaceted” would be it.
An established editor and copywriter with over 16 years of media, marketing and publishing experience, Candy has interviewed personalities from all walks of life, including Hollywood A-listers, Asian celebrities and politicians. In 2012, she was recognised with an Editorial Merit Award by the Magazine Publisher's Association, for her hard-hitting feature which threw the spotlight on the issue of child sexual abuse.
A dog lover and pole fitness junkie, this introspective mum-of-three plays hard – and works harder. She has built an impressive portfolio of editorial and commercial work that includes content creation and art direction for lifestyle publications, websites, and social media platforms. Candy is the Project Editor of Harper's BAZAAR Junior, and as the immediate ex-Features Editor of The Singapore Women's Weekly, Candy has spearheaded the annual Great Women of Our Time Awards for seven years (from 2010). As a thought leader, she has also been invited to the judging panels of the People's Association Women's Integration Network (WIN) Awards to recognise women grassroots leaders, and also as a parent judge on Harper's BAZAAR Junior's Annual Toy Awards in 2014 and 2015.
Believing strongly in the dynamic power of collaborations, Candy co-founded The Fashion Collective Singapore (www.thefashioncollective.com.sg), an industry aggregator which unites independent professionals under a common banner; and The Editor's Journal, an online resource for beauty and fashion-related content.
