Growing firm set to create 40 new jobs

Fleetwood utilities firm sees surge in customers

More than 40,000 businesses across the UK are now supplied by the Fleetwood-based firm. New figures, released today, show BES has 29,052 electricity customers and 11,355 gas - up from 23,273 electricity, 10,375 gas in August 2014. The rise in customer numbers has come at a time of increased competition in the non-domestic utility market.

Thousands line the streets for Fleetwood Christmas lights switch on

More than £20,000 was raised by volunteers and through sponsorship to allow the streets and iconic Mount to be lit in a blaze of Yuletide colour. A torchlight parade through the town, which included an illuminated tram, led crowds to the Marine Hall gardens where a carol service was performed by local schoolchildren.

Call for Powerhouse to include the coast

BES Utilities managing director and co-founder Andy Pilley said it was vital the Government's much-heralded 'Northern Powerhouse' does not simply focus on major cities. Mr Pilley made the call during the visit to the North West by Chinese President Xi who was in the region to mark the announcement of a new air route between China and Manchester as well as a series of investment deals.

BES Utilities unveils new-look management team - Lancashire Business View

The Fleetwood-based company, which supplies gas and electricity to more than 40,000 businesses across the UK, has created a number of key new roles covering such areas as IT, recruitment, HR and staff development. The recruitment drive comes after the BES Group expanded its customer services teams last year, taking on more than 50 new employees at its Fleetwood headquarters.
