I’m a freelance journalist with a background in arts, travel and languages.

I speak fluent French, having previously worked in Paris as fashion and beauty editor for Agence France-Presse’s international news wire AFP-Relaxnews.

Although I’m now based in the Kent town of Tunbridge Wells, my language skills are still put to use via my regular contributions to Discover Benelux, a lifestyle magazine promoting Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Previous journalism roles include content editor for online hotel reservations agency and film editor for Cover Media, a digital news provider supplying multi-language entertainment feeds worldwide.

My portfolio comprises celebrity interviews, news stories, creative writing and first person journalism for publications including The Guardian, The Telegraph and France magazine.

I recently got married, so most bylines are under my family name (Parkin).
