Alana Dutson is a copy editor and writer for The Corsair at Pensacola State College.

Alana believes that journalism should educate, inform and amuse.

Alana believes in writing articles that are true, accurate and unbiased.

The Corsair has published five of Alana's articles since she began working there in January 2018.

In April 2018, Alana received the Pensacola State College Academic Excellence award and the Pensacola State College Leadership award.

Alana's career goals are to pursue freelance work that includes writing, copy editing, blogging, marketing and transcription.

Alana's interests include music, crafting, reading and writing.

Alana will graduate in May 2018 with an Associate in Arts degree with an English emphasis. She will be attending the University of West Florida in the fall of 2018 to complete her bachelor's degree in English.

Time management essential for all

For some students, scheduling comes easy, but for many, it is an added task to accomplish. Jacki Williams, a full-time physical therapy student, is taking five classes a week and struggles to manage her time.
