Ace integrated marketing communications pro who combines the strategic thinking of results-driven account executive with the magic of a versatile, compelling copywriter

• Ace writer. I spearhead and manage the production of the credit union’s monthly newsletters to its 280,000 members. I develop and write the content, featuring financial “news-you-can-use” and “how-to” articles, as well as updates about the organization’s products and services. These newsletters were cited as a key component in establishing our continually high member satisfaction scores. Per a recent annual readership poll: 100% found the newsletters “informative,” 85% “educational,” 77% “easy to read” and 74% “interesting.”

• Ace strategist. I strategize and copy write targeted promotions (direct mail, email, brochures, ads and web copy) that have effectively recruited thousands of new members to the credit union and have had a big impact in cross-selling products and services to existing members (including mortgages, credit cards, auto loans, RV loans, student loans, high rate checking accounts, teen checking accounts, online banking and mobile banking).

• Ace project lead. At GE Capital, I led the communication efforts to effectively launch a pioneering web site, during the early days of the Internet, to sell off-lease automobiles to car dealers. Instead of using a traditional “brag and boast” strategy, I interviewed our Beta car dealers and used their testimonials to sell the benefits of buying cars from our web site.

• Ace voice of company and internal communicator. At ShowCase Corporation, I developed and executed an integrated marketing communication strategy that branded our product, effectively positioning it as the go-to choice in the market place. At CNA, I worked with senior staff to communicate its initiatives and agenda to the company’s 20,000 employees via a reader-friendly, informative newsletter that enhanced employee buy-in and helped employees feel good about working for the organization. At the credit union, I help senior staff by writing or editing their communications for the newsletters and annual report.
