I started my path to Journalism at Pierce College Media Arts Department in the Fall Semester of 2016. Every since then I never look back because I knew this is what I wanted to do. I work at a reporter for the Roundup News and Bull Magazine then I work my way up as an Opinion Editor and News Photographer.

In the spring of 2019 I became a student radio broadcaster for KPC Radio (www. kpcradio.com) where I hosted my radio show "Fun With Guns". My show was about competitive sport shooting and the people who help make it a popular sport.

On June 4, 2019 I graduated from Pierce College. I am currently a student at Northern Arizona University where I am Majoring in Journalism with a Minor in Public Relations. I will be graduating from NAU in 2023. I cane back to California and work as a volunteer sports reporter for the Valley Sports Telegram where I covered High School football and went on to cover the LA City/ CIF Championship and CIF State Championship.

I started my professional career with the Saratoga Sun in Saratoga Wyoming in January of 2024. Since then I have made a lot of accomplishments in my work.

Lady Tigers takedown Saratoga in Valley scrap

After a tough loss against the Farson Lady Pronghorns, the Encampment Lady Tigers got redemption and did it at the right time as they defeated their Valley rivals, the Saratoga Lady Panthers by a score of 45-31. Saratoga took an early lead but the Lady Tigers quickly tied the game at 2-2.

Panthers win Valley showdown with Encampment

The Saratoga Panthers put on a dominant performance against the Encampment Tigers on the road. Everything went right for the Panthers both on offense and defense and it showed. Saratoga stepped up when they needed to and got a 73-65 win. For the majority of the game, the Panthers were leading as high as 15 points.

Lady Panthers feel the snake bite of Little Snake River

Things did not go right for the Saratoga Lady Panthers as they fell to the Little Snake River Valley (LSRV) Lady Rattlers, 44-23, giving them their second straight league loss. The visiting Lady Rattlers came into Friday night's contest confident and determined as they dominated Saratoga.

Lady Tigers take a split on Homecoming week

The Encampment Lady Tigers went 1-1 during homecoming week as they lost a hard fought game to the Southeast Lady Cyclones on Friday night and took down the Rock River Lady Longhorns on Saturday afternoon. Lady Tigers vs. Lady Cyclones The Lady Tigers were handed a tough loss by Southeast, 44-30.

Tigers take two wins over homecoming

The Encampment Tigers were down by 8 points at the end of the 3rd quarter on Friday against the Southeast Cyclones. Then, they let out a huge roar. In the 4th quarter Kaben Pickett and Gunner Henrie both made some key defensive plays to get to the free throw line to win the game against the Southeast Cyclones.

Lady Panthers finally get a conference win

It has been a tough season for the Saratoga Lady Panthers and a lot had to do with injuries and illness. The Lady Panthers also had to face some tough competition in their schedule and the Cokeville Lady Panthers are no exception. Saratoga fell to Cokeville 60-37 on the road Friday night.

The Saratoga Skijoring Races will return for its 8th year on February 3-4 at the Buck Springs Arena. It is a challenging event which requires skill, good balance and focus which can be tricky when skiing on the snow. Lady Tigers roar again in a 40-38 win over Saratoga

The Encampment Lady Tigers dominated the first three-quarters of their rematch with the Saratoga Lady Panthers. Saratoga attempted to steal the game with under two minutes left in the 4th quarter. What I like about covering local high school sports in Platte Valley

My interest in covering local high school sports all started when I was a sports journalism student at Northern Arizona University. I would work as a voluntary local sports journalist for the Arizona Daily Sun to cover local high school sports in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Full speed at second gear

Motor sports enthusiasts raced to the ice this weekend as 307 GoFast held it's second annual ice races at Saratoga Lake on February 10. Competitors from all parts of Wyoming and out-of-state competed in the ATV buggies and dirt bike racing on the frozen lake. There were a total of 30 racers at the event.

Memorial Hospital of Carbon County held an open house for its newly remodeled Orthopedic and Pain Clinic on February 22, showing county residents the growth the department has made in the past few years.
