My award winning creative debut came at the age of 9 in the form of a moving and evocative play about a hamster joining the school choir. From there I began writing restaurant reviews for my local newspaper, which soon turned into book reviews and personal pieces published in print and on the paper's blog. I continued writing at Duke by joining the Her Campus Duke team as a writer and PR chair. In addition to Her Campus I began writing for the Philadelphia start up, FlockU LLC.
Writing transitioned from hobby to potential career the summer following my freshman year with a copywriting internship for Razorfish Health. Here I wrote all copy for the company's previously dormant social media, as well as copy for Razorfish Health's clients.

Created 4 content campaigns to give agency constant media to post which I took all photos and wrote all copy for: 1) Teach 'em to fish- featured advice from members of the Razorfish Health team 2) What's good in the Razorhood- team member's recommendations for local restaurants/bars/parks 3) RazorGlass- anonymous shoutouts

Time to Leave the Comfort Zone

College is a time for trying new things and delving into experiences that you've never had before. That's why my first ever semester as a college student features a theatre seminar twice a week. Just for a little background info, I have never been into theatre or anything of the likes.

And The Seasons They Go Round and Round

Nobody likes change, and that includes the changing of seasons. We never want to see summer go. No one likes having to pull out their snow salt and there can't be a single person who enjoys watching their May flowers shrivel up in the June heat. Nobody except for me, maybe.

Dream School Diaries

Chapter 1: News flash If you're like me, you never had that ominous deadline of deciding where to go to college, because that choice was made long ago. You grew up in college mascot-printed onesies; you cheered on the school in sports events you otherwise wouldn't have cared about; and you knew it was the place for you before you even stepped foot into middle school.

Why I Nama-Stayed Away From Yoga

Like any avo-toast-loving, headband-to-toe Lulu-sporting, acai-bowl-instagramming gal out there, yoga seemed like the perfect addition to my extremely white-privileged list of interests. This year I was determined to avoid the freshman 15, and when I found yoga among the classes offered by the gym, I knew that my semester would be, like, totally Zen.

Myths We Tell Ourselves About Why We're Still Single

Home to Duke University, UNC, NC State, and numerous other colleges and universities, "The Triangle" racks up a combined undergrad population of over 170,000. This fertile crescent of college students harbors thousands of young, attractive, eligible bachelors already pre-filtered out by admissions offices to contain only the brightest, most involved, and very best writers of bullshit essays.

What Community Service Looks Like After College Admission

In high school it wasn't uncommon to sign-up for an extracurricular activity with college applications in the back of our minds. These activities where we spent countless after school meetings, late nights, and rainy practices enduring, shaped our lives and schedules, even when some of them were simply additions made in the hopes of pleasing some faceless and far-off admissions officer.

Sweats or Nah?

Getting ready for a college class is a significant step down from the process of getting ready for a day spent in the halls of high school. Getting ready for an 8-hour high school day was first set to my favorite playlist, which served as the perfect soundtrack to the 28-minute process of getting ready for the day.

Dating as Told by a Millennial and an Orthodox Jew

With legs casted in itchy nylons, skirt hem brushing the floor, and a neckline that wouldn't dare dip below my collar bones, I was in full disguise for our annual trek up to visit the cousins in Brooklyn, New York.

Park Plates Restaurant Review

Those of you who have been around long enough have known it as The Little Dipper, Super Nova, Hungry Heart Market, Yo Dogs, and The Whistle Stop. Currently though, the corner of "down-town" Elkins Park is home to Park Plates, and hopefully we'll find it a permanent tenant.

Navigating the Hallways of a High School

High school consists of one long string of tests. But the most important test of all happens between these 47 minute preparation periods, when we navigate our hallways.

A New Message from Disney

Disney today is totally different from the Disney I grew up watching. After seeing the movie Frozen this weekend, the new messages that these princess movies want to send to little girls are totally clear.
