Boys basketball: Ramsey holds off Pascack Hills to seal N1G2 title

It's a dance that's getting familiar to fans of Ramsey High School boys basketball. The bleachers seemed pushed to capacity at Ramsey High School as the top-seeded Rams sealed their third North Jersey, Section 1, Group 2 title in five years in a 49-43 win over second-seeded Pascack Hills.

Morristown-Beard beats Summit for inaugural NJ Girls Ice Hockey title (Photos)

Morristown-Beard turned up the heat early at Prudential Center - utilizing that momentum in the second period to seal its offensive presence. A strong second period, including a breakaway goal from Logan Sutera, lifted top-seeded Crimson and cemented the team's place in New Jersey high school girls hockey history with a 3-0 win over sixth-seeded Summit in the inaugural girls hockey State Invitational Tournament final at the Prudential Center.

NJSIAA Girls X-C: McGill of Voorhees wins Group 2, Holmdel wins team title

Emma McGill isn't a stranger to winding, bumpy terrain. Most runners who navigate Holmdel Park will shiver thinking of the infamous "bowl", a steep incline that challenges cross-country runners emotionally and physically. But the Voorhees junior, along with many other runners in Saturday's NJSIAA Group 2 championship, practice in the hilly terrain around Phillipsburg.

In a battle of two high school soccer powerhouses, Bryanna Pelayo scored the game-winner with 13 seconds left in double overtime to lead second-seeded DePaul, No. 15 in the NJ.com Top 20, to a 2-1 win over top-seeded No. 14 Immaculate Heart in the championship game of the North Jersey, Non-Public A tournament in Scotch Plains.

Parsippany Hills wins late in OT over Hanover Park - NJSIAA N2G2 finals

After a one-on-one challenge against the Hanover Park goaltender, Nerina San Martin scored on a penalty kick with two minutes left in overtime to lead fourth-seeded Parsippany Hills to a 2-1 upset over second-seeded Hanover Park in the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2 sectional championship in Hanover Park.
